Faces of India

A friend of mine sent an email which was meant to be a joke. The images are from here. Walls covered with Nike and Coke, an old man in a grocery shop full of Colgate toothpaste and a homeless man with a mastercard logo can. It did seem funny to me at first, but then got me thinking how India (like all countries??) has many faces. Progress in a democracy like India will be slow (at times), but hopefully steady and sustainable.

  • Those picture doesn't need any captions, it says it all.
  • I think corruption needs to end before the lives of Indians can improve in India.
  • Haha. Sadly I don't have a clearer pic. If you searched online though, you might be able to get it! I got it from a humor website!

I love the picture of the smiling gentleman in front of the toothpaste. Looks like someone you'd want to hug. :-)

Important: This is not part of the post .....
Would it be possible to get a clearer picture of him sent to me ?
It would be for one time, personal use only and not reproduced anywhere else, except on a home made birthday card for my brother. I would put in the text. Would that be okay ?

It is Tammy... on the first look even I laughed my ass off (LMAO is a new one for me!!). But when I made this post it was both cause of the irony and my concern about developing countries and how wealth is going to be distributed amongst its people.

    Anyways thanks for stopping by!

  • You are by and large right, except for the Coke photo, which most in India would interpret for this: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=...
