Yahoo and the irritating banner ads

I just hate them. They slow down the downloading of pages and are mostly very crappy. I dont understand why Yahoo! doesn’t do away with the silly banner ad’s on many of their websites. They have done away with them on some of the revamped services (or so it seems). But they need to take certain policy decisions like google and stick to them come what may.

I think yahoo! offers a plethora of features which many people don’t know about. I used their toolbar yesterday on my linux firefox and was surprised by the ease with which it was able to import all my toolbar bookmarks. The really cool thing is that I can now see these bookmarks from my windows firefox yahoo! toolbar…. since its all authenticated through my yahoo! id…… it makes the loading of firefox slow by a second or so…. but its worth the wait…. although am not sure it’s the best way to sync bookmarks, but as far as my knowledge goes google toolbar doesn’t offer this feature yet!
